NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WKRN) – TDOT will host a quick recruiting event on October 18-19 to fill available positions in the Davidson and Williamson County areas.
The agency is looking for operations technicians willing to work day and night.
Job offers will be made the same day as long as applicants are able to pass a drug test and background check.
According to TDOT, operations technicians have a variety of job responsibilities, including:
- Perform medium difficulty labor and data collection work in the field of road maintenance.
- Inspect road and bridge maintenance projects.
- Perform routine road maintenance, such as fixing potholes, removing large debris and operating a dump truck.
- Assist with routine snow and ice removal as well as pre-treatment of roads before snow arrives.
Applicants must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, be licensed to work in the United States, and be able to obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license with an N endorsement within 11 months of l ‘hiring.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the R3 Building A complex at 6601 Centennial Blvd.
